San Francisco’s Four Seasons luxury condominiums represent the best of urban life. Light filled spaces float high above the cityscape with easy access to cultural and commercial venues on the ground below. For a spacious 3,500 square foot apartment, John Stewart Designs created a sleek contemporary envelope to highlight spectacular northern views of Union Square and easterly ones of Embarcadero waterfront and the Bay Bridge. The designer layered neutral shades against the floor to ceiling windows and cherry wood herringbone patterned floors of the open living and dining rooms. Rich ebonized woods in the living room juxtapose with ivory upholstery and an alabaster diamond-patterned wool rug. Sleek parsons dining chairs surround a rectangular walnut dining table with decorative metal stringing in the dining area. The beige shell acts as a foil for vivid abstract paintings. An inviting wood paneled library with jewel tones of lapis and garnet displays the couple’s extensive collection of   Pre-Columbian ceramic sculptures.
